When is Kids Camp and What is the cost for my child?

The cost of camp per child is $299/week. Early Bird prices end on May 15th.

When is Sports Camp and What is the cost for my child?
August 06 - August 09 (4 days only due to the Civic Holiday landing on Monday, August 5th)

Is there a before or aftercare program for the kids at camp?
We will not be offering before and after care for campers. Please note that your child cannot be left at church waiting to be picked up or waiting to join another service at church later on. If they are not picked up on time, they will not be allowed to return to camp as that is a liability for the church. If you will have your child picked up by another family or friends, please email summercamp@spspoakville.com and let us know before 12 p.m. Please also note that all who serve are wonderful people from our church who are volunteering their summer break time during the weeks of camp; therefore, camp starts and ends at the times indicated above.

Can I book for more than one week?
Yes, please note that the 1st and 2nd weeks of camp are identical to the 3rd and 4th weeks (i.e. Week 1 is the same as Week 3 and Week 2 is the same as Week 4). To give all children an opportunity to join our kids camp this year, each camper can only register for up to 2 weeks!
For more than one week of kids camp bookings, registration will proceed only if you choose non-identical weeks such as:

What is the church app? Do I need to have the church app to register? How do I register on the church app?
The church app is called SPSP Coptic Church of Oakville which is available on both Android and Apple.
Yes, you will need the church app to register. If you are new to our church or need help setting up your app profile, please email us at summercamp@spspoakville.com ASAP to connect you with the church app tech team and prevent any future delays.
To register on the church app, follow these quick video tutorials. If booking for more than one week, you will be filling out the form for each child twice. If you need additional support, please don't hesitate to email us at summercamp@spspoakville.com.

What should my child bring to camp?
Each child should bring...

Water bottle, bug spray, a hat and sunscreen (please make sure it has your child’s name on it)

Your child is asked to come in their camp shirts, shorts are acceptable as long as they are mid-thigh and longer.

Morning snacks and Lunch are included this year as part of the camp. The menu will be sent via email. Please feel free to send their own lunch and snacks as long as it's Peanut/Nut Free.

Every Friday - We will be attending liturgy at 9 a.m (boys bring your tonias if you are a deacon and girls bring your veils "eshareb"). If your child will not be attending, please let us know via email as soon as you can. Please also send breakfast with them that day.

Can I switch afternoon activities (Grades 3–6) after I have registered my child?
To fill out the afternoon activities change form, please send an email to summercamp@spspoakville.com to ask for the form. If a spot opens up in the activity you would like your child to attend, we will contact you to let you know the change has been made.

Do you have a refund policy?
No, we do not have a refund policy. Please note that refund, switching, and/or cancelation requests will not be processed or accepted. No tax receipts/child care receipts will be issued. Please take a screenshot of your booking confirmation of payment on the app and use it towards that. Also, please make sure you save it as we won't be able to reissue an automatic booking confirmation of payment past the timeframe.

What is the zero-tolerance policy?
​
Best behaviour is essential for the success of the camp. Please remind your child that if they are disrespectful in any way to the servants or to their peers, you will be asked to pick them up and they will not be able to return to camp. A lot of energy and effort from our amazing youth from our church was put into planning and preparing this camp; therefore, if you would like your child to continue to enjoy this service, they must be willing to cooperate.
